Salvo, born in 1991, grew up on the beautiful island of Ischia, just a few nautical miles from Naples. His innate exuberance led him, from a very young age, to embark on numerous journeys that took him across the world for many years. During his travels, Salvo often supported himself with ordinary jobs but was constantly drawn into artistic collectives connected to the world of visual arts, street art, and interior design. These artistic interactions became an integral part of his education, his great school.

Arriving in Berlin in 2015 marked the realization of his deepest aspiration: to enter the world of fashion. Salvo began apprenticing with various tailors, learning the basics of cutting and sewing. Soon, the Italian designer started to combine the solid technical foundations of classic tailoring with his taste derived from urban visual arts, creating garments that adhered to genres such as rock n' roll, sporty, hip hop, streetwear, and avant-garde.

During Salvo's stay in the German capital, a significant turning point occurred when he moved into an artist community, the Greenhouse Berlin, where he soon felt he was in the right place at the right time. It was a space where artists gathered, exchanged ideas, and influenced each other, and it was here that Salvo decided to embark on the project of launching his own brand: Ergot was born. Working hard, Salvo saved enough money to set up his atelier with two sewing machines and various fabrics. After a year of experimentation, Salvo decided to launch his premier collection!
