Salvo Jacono founded Ergot in Berlin in 2017, after years spent travelling, observing people and living within independent artistic communities.

Inspired by nature, human behaviour and the contradictions of life, Ergot uses fashion as a language to give shape to ideas, questions and perspectives.

More than a fashion label, Ergot is an artistic project that explores the relationship between appearance and identity. Its identity is defined through obsessive attention to detail, distinctive silhouettes and an uncompromising approach to fit.

Ergot is not designed for everyone. It is created for people who know themselves, who understand that appearance and identity are equally powerful forms of self expression, and who choose clothing as an extension of their character rather than a reflection of trends.

In 2018, Ergot received the Best Stand Award at Pure London, selected among more than 700 designers.
